Fire Chief's Message
Welcome to the Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue website, we hope that you enjoy learning about our District and our services.
Bennett-Watkins has changed and grown substantially in the last 10 years, and continues to plan for the future. The Fire District covers 325 square miles just east of the City Of Aurora, protecting portions of Unincorporated Adams and Arapahoe Counties as well as the Town of Bennett. The area has a lot of growth planned for the next 20 years and it’s the responsibility of the staff of the District to keep up with the growth and continue providing excellent services to the community. We are grateful that the citizens of the District recently approved a mill levy increase to assist us with the planned growth and to hire additional staff to improve service levels to the entire community that we serve. The Department has a great staff that is eager to improve the District, so we can help all our citizens that live and travel through it. The men and women of the District are highly trained professionals who are proud to belong to the Bennett-Watkins family, I am honored to work with these great people.
Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue continues to work closely with our neighboring east I-70 Fire District partners by providing coverage and assistance. We continue to strive to protect lives and property by providing professional and quality service to the community.
Please feel free to contact our staff with a comment or suggestion, we are here for you.
Thank you,
Fire Chief Earl Cumley
