The Life Safety Division provides community education, fire preparedness, and investigations, as well as assesses the district for fire conditions and preventative mitigation operations. Assistant Chief Caleb Connor oversees the Life Safety Division activities and serves as the District's Fire Investigator, investigating any fire that is within the Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue service area. Assistant Chief Connor is assisted by Deputy Fire Marshal Victoria Flamini and a full-time Fire Inspector/Life Safety Educator. This division also conducts plan reviews and inspections for development and construction within BWFR boundaries, as well as oversees and assists with the annual inspection program to ensure building safety for occupants and compliance with fire code.
